Beloved friend! It’s finally Summer and I wanted to give you a really casual, sophisticated and cool outfit idea for a nice Summer date night or food with friends!
Linen pieces are my best friend in the summertime when it gets so hot! The fabric makes you feel cool and it is breathable so you don’t go stinking like with some polyester fabrics! You know that armpit smell????? That wasn’t you, it was the fabric! hahaha!

Doug and I keep our love intentional by making time for our relationship. I want to get old with this man still liking him. And a way to keep our relationship fresh is to create moments of intention. To go and do things we’ve never done before. Here are some tips to dating your spouse!
Write questions before your date and ask each other on the drive to dinner. We have a little couple’s question book that we like to use. Here’s a similar one on Amazon for you to consider! It sounds silly but I’ve learned a lot asking questions and we’ve already been married for 13 years! Our anniversary was this past week!!
You can make a date catered to one person one month and then the other way around the next! That way both of you are getting to plan and receive a special date!
You can go do something that you’ve never tried before, like top golf or trying out food you both have never tried (Doug and I just tried Pho for the first time this past year and both LOVED it). Forging new experiences together is so helpful!
As far as styling shoes goes; this outfit can really be styled with so many shoe options. Here you can fit a mule, a sneaker to make it even more casual, you can go for a nude T-strap sandal, or even some block heels if you want to dress it up. These sandals I’m wearing are super old but I found these white ones that remind me of the Hermes ones that are so cute at a fraction of the cost!
I just found this Ivory baseball hat with an adorable cognac leather strap in the back. I LOVE how minimal this hat is. No logo, nuthin’ ! Just ivory and ready to go with so many outfits this Summer. I do, however, love the pop of cognac because it makes it look sophisticated and interesting!
No matter what you’re up to this Summer know that you are worthy of dressing well at whatever size, budget, or season! I want to inspire you to dress how you want to feel! Putting on clothes is more for you than anyone else and it is in my humble opinion that we do better when we dress better. I hope this post was of value to you!
