I received my little package of joy a few weeks ago and the timing of this sweater was spot on. I’m in a challenging season of life where the reminder to choose joy for me was so important. I know for me, joy isn’t always being happy; JOY is a miraculous gift from God that transcends our emotions in any season. To me, joy is thinking, “Even if I’m going through rough times, God is in this mess with me and will work something good out of ANY situation! I have faith that God will walk me through this season and on to the next with victory!” That is what choosing joy looks like to me. I have to coach my brain every-time it wants to spin out on me and dwell in worry or fear. I have to choose joy, moment by moment. Doing so has saved my life, my sanity and it’s even given me hope for the future! It has infused my bones with NEW life! Choosing joy in the midst of pain has given me compassion, empathy and a lot of character. It has shown me that I can go through ANYTHING with our God! So receiving this sweater from Rooted & Grounded weeks before our Christmas vacation to Ventura, California was a Godsend because it’s exactly the words I needed to finish out 2019!

Now let me get into the details of the actual sweater. They are sponsoring this post but the opinion about their products is 100% my own. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! The navy blue color is my go-to favorite color ever. I love how it pairs with light pink, gray, black, and ivory! The quality of the fabric is fantastic. It’s such a buttery soft material that just melts on your skin and gives you cozy vibes on these cold winter days! The inside of the sweater is so soft and not itchy or irritating in any way, trust me I’m super sensitive to itchy clothing I’m more than a good measure for comfiness! I’ve already washed the sweater once and the care of it is simple you wash inside out with like colors and tumble dry low! And it didn’t get weird. You know some items feel different after you wash? Yeah, this sweater does not, still super soft. It’s 52% cotton and 48% polyester! It did not shrink to my recollection and I used my dryer to dry in low heat.
STYLE TIPS
Go monochrome with your casual outfit, it will instantly elevate your style. SO I paired the sweater with my lulu lemon navy leggings!
You can throw on a nice coat as I did here and elevate your casual and super comfy look! Or just wear it by itself it’s enough to stand on it’s own! I can see these being great transition pieces for Spring 2020 as the weather warms up a bit and you want a lighter sweater! The sweater’s lightness is why I love it for winter because it’s a great piece you can easily layer with! No one likes bulky sweaters under coats and other layer pieces! You can build a casual winter outfit with ease by pairing the sweaters with leggings or jeans; the sky is the limit because they have so many color options there’s a color for everyone!

This shirt is sooooooooo comfy and cute! I love how it fits. I LOVE the length, it’s so good with leggings! What I also love about it is the weight. You know some tee shirts can feel really cheap and very thin and light? This one is just the right amount of weight. It feels like it hugs your body just right. Super-super soft. It’s made with 52 % cotton and 48% polyester and has simple wash instructions as well as the sweater! I love how this one has two fonts and it makes the shirt look so interesting and chic! I see this tee being so versatile. I can wear it causally or I can even see this with a nice skirt to wear out on a date, you can tuck inside the skirt or make a little knot on it to bring it to your waist!
Pair this up with a gorgeous tulle skirt and dress it up!
