Two Braids + Velvet Bow
This is the epitome of adorable if you’re asking me! I love a good hair accessory and when I found these on Amazon for a FOUR pack of cute velvet bows, my heart sang! It is so easy to put in a little effort that GOES A LONG WAY. You can either part your hair in the middle or the side and create two braids going from the top of your head to the ears and you can secure them with a little invisible elastic. Then you put a cute bow or the hair accessory of your choice and voila. I’ve rounded up my favorite shampoo and conditioners from a range of price points as well as weekly masks to care for your hair!
2. Pullback Half-Updo With A Pearl Detailed Barrette
When you would rather have your hair pulled back a little, you can brush half or less of your hair back to create a half-updo! Spray a little hairspray to hold down any flyaways and you can secure it with a gorgeous pearl barrette (the linked version is a different similar one than photographed!) and you have a cute yet functional hairdo that gets your hair out of your face for those days you need it to be! 3. A One-Side Moment + Gold Accessory
This is one of my favorite ways to style my bob right now. It’s such a CHIC and understated way of saying, hey, I did my hair today. Look one half is up! Hahaha, It is so simple yet gives you that effortlessly chic vibes that we love from french style. At least that’s what I love about simple style! Start by parting your hair on one of the sides of your face. Then brush the hair back behind your ear and secure that section of hair with a gold clip or cute hair pins! 4. A Free Your Hair + Let It Be Wild
And I probably didn’t need to remind you to do your hair and just let it down! You’re probably already doing that but in the links below I will be linking all the hair tools, products, and things that have really blessed my tresses in hopes you find some gems of your own. Remember you don’t “need” any of this stuff to be worthy. You and your hair are enough. You are lovely and no matter what this world tries to tell you that you need to do to change yourself in order to be loved, this is your message to show you you are lovely NOW without all this stuff, without makeup, without putting a comb through your hair. However, YOU are also a daughter of a king; worthy of love and taking care of! So give yourself permission to be both lovely the moment you wake up and feel like a hot mess AND also give yourself the honor of caring for your hair and having the discipline to care for your body, mind, and spirit! Embracing enoughness of yourself before all the “getting ready” and not making it a weight of value to your appearance will free you to love yourself in a place that might be hard at times. I know when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior he gave me worth and value that no one and NOTHING can take away. I feel lovely at the times when I don’t “look” lovely because God loved me first, go read 1 John 4:19, but I also feel a sense of responsibility and love of self to take care of what God made in me. Because God doesn’t make trash. He made YOU and ME in his image and we both have beauty to offer, no matter what we look like. Sis, take care of yourself out of the abundance Jesus gives you.
