1.-The number one thing I suggest you do on your next date is to pray for each other out loud. Allowing your spouse to hear your prayers changes everything. It shows them the desires of your heart for them and demonstrates that you're trusting in the Lord. This has been a great help in our marriage, especially during tough times.

2.- Make sure you are not distracted by anything and are fully present for your partner. It's crucial to close every 'tab' in your mind because, even if you're not looking at your phone, your spouse will sense the disconnect if you're preoccupied with other thoughts. Tune in.

It's important.

You are important.

They are important.

3.- Make sure you've had a brain dump or journaling session with God before your date. This helps you be your best for your husband or wife, creating space for meaningful conversation instead of unloading emotional baggage that could have been processed with Jesus, a blank page, and a pen. It really allows you to focus on what truly matters.

4.- Clean up, dress up, spritz some perfume or cologne, and show up! These are small but powerful signals to your spouse that you still care about spending time with them. It shows respect for yourself and them as you take care of the temple God gave you. If you need help with that, we’ve got tons of videos to show you how to get ready, sis! 6.- Be curious. Your spouse will never remain the same person you married, so seek to know them as they are now. Ask meaningful questions during your date! Some of my favorite questions to ask Doug, and to have him ask me, are the following. They help you learn about your spouse in a deeper, more meaningful way:

- What is God doing in your life right now?

- How can I pray for you?

- How can I support you right now?

- What has been the coolest thing about being a parent?

- How have you changed the most since we’ve been together?

- What is your dream day, from start to finish?

- What do you see us doing 10-20 years from now?

7.- Never stop flirting and making each other a priority. One day, your kids will grow up and leave, but you two will remain. Wouldn't it be nice to still know, love, and like each other?

We pray that this helped you on your quest to make a deeper relationship with your boo! God is with you!
