This Easter I have hope that we will have the energy to celebrate Jesus with gusto and I pray that you know your worth isn’t in your outfit or the things you have or don’t have. Your worth is in Jesus and it can never be taken away!
However, dressing up is one of the ways I celebrate that God made me uniquely in his image for his glory! So dressing up for Easter is an honor. To dress the temple of God’s Holy Spirit within me is a privilege and it has been a journey I’ve taken because I didn’t always have the freedom and love for myself I have now:
Even if I have gained 20LBS in this pandemic, even if I am getting closer to the big 40! Even when my wrinkles are getting more pronounced (you can’t see them because I used FaceTune to smooth them out for the sake of the photo looking polished for the blog)! They are there, trust me. All my flaws and imperfections are what make me….me.
And you are also beautifully and wonderfully made, so praise God by dressing your body with honor. No matter what you feel like right now. If you gained weight or lost it, you are not a number on a scale, you are a temple to the Holy Spirit of God.
"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
If you’re feeling attractive or not. God made you in his beautiful image and that is important, friend. You are important, friend. You are worth taking care of and dressing in a manner that makes you feel like God’s princess! Because you are! I believe that beauty is so much deeper than what we put on our bodies or face. it’s a belief: Do I have beauty to offer? If you’ve answered no to this question: there is hope.
Ask Jesus to show you how he sees you and wait to see how he reveals to you his love for you and the purpose of the way he created you. Beauty is in the eye of the one who created you: God!

I’ve loved incorporating a gray trench coat into my wardrobe it goes with so much! And this Spring is going to see a lot of this specific one I bought from Mango last year thanks to Emily Luciano! I hired her to give me a “wardrobe spruce up”! She suggested I introduce this gray trench into my life, and I’ve loved having it, thanks Em!

The gray Manolo Blahnik Hangisi Satin Pumps are my dream shoes. I bought them second hand and they were in excellent condition which I believe was a little Fashion Miracle! Thank you Jesus for caring about the BIG and the little. I had always dreamt of including these in my wardrobe, I saved up for them at full price from my monthly budget (remember we don’t have any credit cards and we always save up for big purchases),
I ended up finding them one day on TheRealReal for a great price. The gray color was a super awesome choice because I love neutrals and the color goes with so much in my wardrobe, year-round! These are the shoes I reach for when I want to really embellish an outfit like this for Easter.
OR I take them and dress up a very casual outfit of jeans and a tee-shirt! Trust me, I’m the kind of person that really uses her luxury items because I want to make sure I’m buying smart, less consumption but more intentionality and more quality over many items.
