I am a Jimmy Choo Bing enthusiast. I first saw these puppies two years ago in black and my heart leaped and skipped a beat. I thought of getting a second job at Starbucks to speed up my saving journey for them because they are exxxpaaaanisveeeeeee!!! Am I right? For a while, I pressed pause on even entertaining the idea of saving up. However, after much prayer, waiting, and saving, I just recently bought my first pair! I am delighted in the craftsmanship of the shoe so much! Let’s dive in!

I had already paid the price of buying a pretty but super painful luxury shoe! My husband bought me a pair of Christian Louboutin Nude pumps on our anniversary to Paris I ended up selling mine recently because they were soooooooo uncomfortable, I hardly wore the shoes. So my shoe closet needed a nude heel!

The color I bought and the one that is photographed here is the Antique Rose in the 100mm heel. They are patent leather, leather-lined, and have a leather sole! These particular ones come in a plethora of colors, black, white, red, even bold colors like hot pink and highlighter yellow, or a clear with silver pair; in case you want to be wild with your color choice!
Because of the sleek pointed toe, these shoes are gorgeous enough to take you on a Red Carpet Moment in a designer gown or you can pop them on jeans a tee-shirt to make the outfit just a little extra! Trust me, you’ll find any excuse to wear them!
The cost of the shoes is $975. Yikes. They are almost 1,000 dollars. That is hard to say and type. Why on earth would anyone ever spend so much money on shoes? (points to self) Seriously? I know. You have to be a shoe enthusiast to understand. Just like some people like to buy art to put on their walls, or like collecting whatever-the-heck an-bob, I particularly love bags and shoes and I’m learning not to feel shame for treating myself to something or to apologize for the success God has placed in my hands. It’s a disservice to God, you, and me when I minimize the miraculous changes Jesus has done in me, He’s brought me out of a scarcity mentality into one of abundance.
I pray that you’d be inspired to grow as well in God! Especially in your financial well-being; the way you give, save and spend the money God places in your hands. God is rich in Mercy and everything else and he is our Heavenly Father who can guide us, heal us, help us, and can help us find the richness INSIDE of us that then spews out because it can not be contained.
Plus if I wear these shoes every day in 2022 the cost-per-wear is $2.67 per day. That's less than a latte. Can you just see it? Me washing the dishes in these?
The crystal strap is the one who SOLD me on the ticket price of these shoes. They are beautiful but I would not purchase a nude shoe for nearly a grand if there wasn’t a super special detail about it. There is something absolutely special, stunning, and marvelous about them! The crystals!
The crystals catch the light and it’s a delight to look down and see how sparkly they are.
Listen, I’m just a 5-year-old trapped in a 38-year-old body! In fact, I wore them yesterday at an Elementary School, Speaking engagement and all the little girls were giving these, sparkly-smile-inducers, compliments at the end of my time on stage!

Jimmy Choo Bing 100mm Details On The Heel
The Bing Collection has three heel heights: 100mm 3.9 inches / which is the tallest heel like the one I am wearing, the 65mm heel 2.6 inches, and the ballet flat WELL. Just that. Flat!
I particularly loved the 100mm’s because I believe they will be more versatile for my lifestyle! They’d give my petite frame a boost (I’m 5’1” ) and I felt really good standing on them at the store, in comparison to the 65mm heel they both felt comfortable but the 100mm looked so much better! I can’t speak to other heel heights since I have only personally worn the tallest version. But the heel is so sturdy it feels secure as you’re on them. I am someone who has walked in heels her whole life so this feels right to me. But I think that if you need them for a special night and you’re not too sure about heels this would be a good one to start your high-heel journey on for shortened bursts of time. I’d say practice walking in them lots at home before your event.

How To Save And Decide On Big Luxury Purchase
I wanted to be a wise shopper and first of all, save up until I had the money for these Bing 100 mm leather mules but I also needed to have the head fuzzies go away from the first enamor of seeing them and wanting them. I believe big purchases are better off when we pray, save, wait, make sure we speak to a partner if that is part of our life.
In this case, I did tell my husband these were on my radar and that I needed to have his blessing on the saving up for and purchase of these. He often helps me think practically about big-ticket purchases and both of us love to have a conversation before we make any big purchases, it’s a way we love and respect one another. We both knew that these shoes would be a good fit for my wardrobe, cost-per-wear, and lifestyle.
A very practical way to save your money is make yourself a little cash envelope, you can even print out a photo of what you’re saving for (creates emotion which leads to motivation) and after doing your monthly budget and you decide how much to give, save, spend with every check, then give yourself an amount you’ll set aside each month or every two weeks for them. It’s crazy how fast it goes and you build momentum.

When we were visiting Doug’s family in So Cal we took a trip to Rodeo Drive and I tried them on in-store! I loved the black ones and those were the ones I was originally going to purchase. But the sweet Jimmy Choo angel brought me the nude ones to try on because they didn’t have my size in the 100mm at the store and when I saw them in the mirror, I gasped at how beautiful the nude made the whole body look! I looked taller, leaner, and the detail of the jewels on the feet was stunning! 5-years-old forever!
The best questions to ask yourself for deciding on shoe a color are:
What color holes are in your shoe collection right now? You can start there.
What colors are more prevalent in your wardrobe? Based on that, pick one that will give you the most cost-per-wear.

Are The Jimmy Choo Bing Mules True To Size? | Fit Analysis
This is where I might not be the best person for the job. My feet are a little off with one being bigger than the other. Bwwwaahahaha! Oh my goodness, first of all, my feet grew when I gave birth to my “babies” and I went from a size 6 to a 6.5 or 7 -depending on the shoe. But truly one foot is bigger than the other. My left!
For this particular shoe, I personally had to size up to a 37 and in all my other designer heels I am a 36.5! The Jimmy Choo Bing Mule is in Italian sizing and you can find the conversion key on their website if you’re curious. However, a lot of other reviews say the Bing Mule is true to size. AND my other blogger friends have confirmed with me that they stayed true to size. So! So unless you’re a cool human like me with two different size feet, keep your original size with these. Or better yet; try them on before you commit to buying like I did if you really want to know which size is best.

I got many good recommendations from trusted friends and bloggers that I love and all of them said (two personally) that they in fact were worth it! Thank you to Jenny Ciopoletty from Margo & Me, to Emily (Luciano) Escande from Lovely Luciano, and to Lydia Millen for the inspiration and encouragement to get them. Now that I have them and have worn them twice I can truly say I am a really happy customer.
A very special shoe. Right off the bat! The toe box feels comfortable as it wasn’t too narrow on my healing toe (from surgery). The bottom of the shoe feels secure even though they are high heels! And the way the band with the jewels sits on the top of your foot gives your feet a confident grip. I will say the first time actually wearing them out, they felt a little slippy. Just FYI. I think they just need a few wears to feel broken in. I did go to church in these and was able to walk, sit, and did not feel pinching or discomfort the whole time.
And yesterday I got to speak at a Private School for their K-8 classes and spoke for 45 minutes and 20 the other time; all standing on stage and I was in my element with the shoes! I was able to walk and freely give my speech with these on! I didn’t blister or feel absolutely shattered in them. I did take them off to have to walk a bunch after, it wasn’t like I was then ready to run a marathon in them or anything after a full day of wear. But for how high these are and for being a mule heel; they feel secure, sturdy and got me through what I needed them for. Impressing 5-year-olds! Ha!

These shoes to me were saved up for and represent a moment in my life. A treat to myself for being courageous last year starting to write my second book and actually finishing it with God’s power! I am in the process of editing it and I am so excited about it. Last year was a hard year in the emotional healing aspects of my life. I healed in Trauma Therapy of something super difficult in my life and the fact that I showed up and did the work meant to me that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13 )
Because of my immigrant journey coming to America from Mexico at 8 and having very little, losing all we had as child, coming to America to start a new life; I still sometimes feel guilty for spending money when it’s not a necessity. I have had to learn how to give, save and spend wisely, and in our financial journey we’ve made many mistakes, but we have not given up. I used to use shopping as a means to distract myself from the shame I felt inside. I used to think if I buy this and put it on my body then it will give me worth. Those days are long gone! I know my shame has been redeemed by Jesus and his sacrifice and he sees me as new! I know my worth lies in his unconditional love for me and I can’t add to myself by wearing designers.
This purchase felt different. I didn’t feel like I was buying anything to distract myself from my uncomfortable feelings. It didn’t feel like I was buying the pretty shoes for validation or to feel worthy. I didn’t feel like I was buying the shoes to feel a sense of control over my husband as some other purchases in the past for me have been (sadly enough my husband and I don’t always see eye to eye with our “wants’ and how we want to spend the money God gives us. That’s why we’ve really benefited from going through Financial Peace University) and our finance journey has been nothing perfect, it’s required a lot of conflicts to actually get to resolution and mutual love and respect! And we are STILL a work in progress!
For the first time in my life this was a luxury purchase that felt thought-out, and from a place of abundance and to celebrate a BIG MOMENT in my journey. I am so grateful that I didn’t give up when the going got tough and I didn’t jump ship when the storm was raging. I held my savior’s hand and I pressed through the storm. And in the end, I found myself with the budget to spoil myself with my kind of sparkly doodads. Ones the shine on my feet! I told my husband. I can wear the same jewelry for the rest of my life I don’t really feel excited to buy diamonds or gold. But you put a luxury bag or shoe in front of me and I just feel so much excitement. Is anyone else a shoe fan?
With all the respect you deserve, my prayer is that you’d know in your heart that shoes don’t give you worth. Jesus gives you worth and value nothing can take away! I pray and hope that if you’re in the market for these Jimmy Choo mule’s you’d be mature in your selection and decision. How cool is it to be diligent with one’s money to the point of being able to save up for important, fun, or big purchases? I know that it can be done because I was the type of person to just hurry up and charge it!
But that makes no sense because now the shoes own you. Now I am enjoying financial freedom and I desire the same financial freedom for you! You taking ownership over your finances and learning that no matter the size of your paycheck; You can put intention, self-control, and make a financial plan for your wellbeing. Yes, you can save up for items like these, that when you get them you don’t have an idol attachment to them but you can just delight in having had the self-control to do your research, to pray, and wait and save. Imagine you open up the box without any shame or guilt or debt?
Every time you step on them, you’ll know they are paid for and you own them!
