How To Shop For Your Fall Capsule Wardrobe For Your Family | Old Navy 2020

Do you need a little support in buying pieces for your wardrobe that will anchor it and give it life? Are you tired of going into your closet and feeling like you’ve got nothing to wear? I’ve been there and I would love to be of service to you! Shopping wong for so long for me really helped me to learn the art of shopping with intention. And let me tell you that now my closet is full of pieces that work with each other and have a specific color palette that I love. Everything I own fits is in good condition and it might be a little less than what I used to own and keep in my closet, however, having less makes me feel like I have more because I know what everything is and I can see it all in my closet. No hidden things shoved in a vortex of doom. Now when I walk into my closet or my children’s, I feel peace and certainty that we have the approriate pieces to make it through the Fall and Winter.

I love the feeling of being supported in my closet and I hope you can feel the same way! I hope you learn how to be intentional about what you buy and how to wear it. Here are my best tips for you to get started on building a curated capsule wardrobe you’ll love! And heck when you’ve mastered it for you you can help the rest of your tribe!

How To Shop For Your Fall Capsule Wardrobe For Your Family

  • Think of a color scheme that you love in neutrals - shop for pieces for the whole family in these specific colors. Exp. I chose white - navy - black - gray- light pink. * Listen you don’t need me to encourage you to buy prints. Prints will always be your first choice because they are so fun to buy, nobody gets excited to buy that one white shirt. But having that white shirt is what grownds your wardrobe!

  • Buy solid pieces that will Interchange with your whole wardrobe. No prints for a good anchoring wardrobe mean being able to wear them a lot more frequently than your prints. You can style it as a different outfit utilizing your accessories. Put different shoes on or a hat. Or every bag will make a neutral-colored solid piece go a long way.

  • Think about buying your most used items in a few colors. We typically only wear 20% of our wardrobe, so pay attention to what you feel your best in and buy a few more pieces of that item in different colors

  • If you are buying a print, consider picking one with the colors of the rest of your neutral’s pallette that way you’ll match when you wear it with most of the pieces of your wardrobe.

Thank you so much for reading! trust me this is just the beginning. I am building a virtual class for you, coming soon, to help you even further if you need it!
