10 Year Wedding Anniversary Dinner At Il Fornaio In Roseville

c/o thank you il Fornaio

Beloved, friend!!

We are literally taking all month long to celebrate!

We recently had the opportunity to eat a complimentary dinner at I'l Fornaio in Roseville! This was the actual day of our anniversary, June 22! So thank you so much to Rob who believed in us to document our time here! We absolutely loved our elegant and delicious evening! Thank you Rob for your kind heart!

11 years ago Doug started his proposal to me at the i'l Fornaio in downtown Sacramento. I can still remember that night vividly. Doug got the duck and we sat in the patio of the house.  So many people kept coming out to say hello to us because they knew what Doug was up to! I wasn't sure what was happening as the manager and the host kept asking if we were alright. Doug finished up his proposal to me in the comfort of his house but our time at i'l Fornaio 11 years ago will never leave my memory! It is now all-to-sweet that we had the honor of celebrating our ten years at I'l Fornaio again!

It seemed so fitting to me that we are both now a lot more mature (in some ways) than 11 years ago! This location seems so statuesque and mature. It just feels like you're walking into a very special experience.

And that we did. From Marissa who hosted us right to our table. To Alex our incredibly amazing server, who not only helped me pick the most excellent tea for my delight in making me laugh so hard talking to me about tortillas in Spanish! He was so personable and knew the food inside and out. It was like being served by a king, what a blessing!

To our amazing busser who became our photographer (thank you so much) in some of these photos!!! Everyone was so kind! Thank your or your excellent service!

We started off with some appetizers and we ordered the ANTIPASTO DI PESCE  and a spinach salad that was a special to us that night. I loved the antipasto di pesce it had some amazingly tasty sauces that complimented the shrimp and scallops so well!

Doug had this chicken ready to take flight! It was called PETTO DI POLLO AL PEPERONCINO! Doug really eanjoyed the spicy kick this delectable dish provided since I've turned him into a spice conosiour!

For dessert we had the apple crepe that was on the special's menu! It was so delicious!!! Thin and full of flavor. Like an apple pie but without the heavyness of a pie! Is pie heavy? I guess to me it feels heavy. Ha!

We had yummy leftovers to take home with us and I enjoyed mine the next day remembering our tender moments with each bite!

We had a truly luxurious and celebratory experience at il Fornaio! It was amazing and we would do it again in a heart beat! Wink wink, Rob!
