1 Skirt 2 Ways (How To Style A Skater Skirt)
Hello loves! Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was a collision of emotions! I had some really good breakthrough in my healing from past trauma and such, so in a way it was a little painful but I had a great time over all. My family and I took a trip to Marin Headlands were my husband shot these pictures on Saturday and Friday, I had the best time with a new friend at a conference. She gave me the perfect illustration of what happens when we are working on our issues with God. Think of things that have hurt us like sand or dirt that has settled at the bottom of the well of our souls. When we bring it to the hands of God and allow Him to take over our healing, He stirs the pot with His finger and all the muck and yuck from the bottom of the well starts swirling and bringing up old feelings. It hurts, and we realize how dirty it was in there, when it was settled in the well of our hearts, it might of even looked clear. But it's only a facade. True cleansing for me has come when I've come head to head with my fears, problems and traumas of my past. When I've looked to heaven for healing. It is painful because they are feelings that have been long stuck, but I've experienced so much healing in the pain. The truth has set me free.
Then yesterday, I attendedSacramento Fashion Week and met this lovely blogger @Kari.Montgomery - She is a bargain blogger on Instagram, if you'd like to follow her! She was awesome to talk to and super kind!
Fashion week in Sacramento is still going on, if you'd like to go make sure you get your tickets! I'll be there Friday night!
LET'S TALK STYLE :
When it comes to bargain shopping, I might not be the best, but I will say that I try my hardest to find things that are beautiful, in places I can actually afford. This skirt I found in store and unfortunately they don't have online, but I got it for $8! I could not believe my eyes. I know that it is crucial for me to stay on budget when it comes to buying clothes. So it is super important for me to find adorable things that are a good price. I hope this inspires you to find one amazing piece you can add to your wardrobe and be able to style it two or MORE ways so you can get the most out of your money! Let's be savvy women when buying our clothes, ya?!
I love how this skirt can look so feminine with the beige top but also have a nice edge with the blazer. Which look do you prefer?
